In a year, certified Developers do not have to get recertified for every new entity they integrate. However, Developers do have to get recertified once every year.

There is no standard timeline for the completion of the program, as with each entity the time varies. It might take approximately 6 months to complete the process.

The costs involved in certification with the program cannot be defined. They depend on the market cost and the type of entity.

Bharat Connect only certifies the Developer and lists them on the official website. Developers are encouraged to build and maintain a robust business infrastructure of their own.

A Developer will essentially have 5 functional verticals comprising Technology, Operations, Product Team, Business Development and Finance & Legal. The recommended minimum team strength is 12 resources, and the optimum team strength is 25 to 30 resources.

Post onboarding on Bharat Connect as an OU, the BCOU will receive the API kit with Production and Testing keys.

The Bharat Connect API specification document is available on the Bharat Connect website. BCOUs can download the specification document and XSD files to be integrated with Bharat Connect API and appear for certification, where all the possible test cases are validated.

TSP in Bharat Connect is a Technical Service Provider, who has the technical capability to integrate the Bharat Connect APIs and extend services to Agents or Agent Institutions.

Bharat Connect intends to offer interoperable and accessible bill payment services to customers through a network of Agents, enabling multiple payment modes and providing instant confirmation of payment. The APIs are accessible for authorized entities over the MPLS network.
